Frequently Asked Questions

We try to anticipate questions you might have about our programs and provide the answers here. If you need additional information send email to info@moseleygymnastics.com, and we will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

1.

Do you have to sign a long term contract?

No.  We do require payment 2 weeks in advance of each month so that we can anticipate our numbers from month to month, and so that we can notify any students on our waiting list that we will have an upcoming opening in our class, however, you may pay for and take classes only during the months you choose.

2.

Are your instructors certified?

Yes.  All of our staff coaches are USA Gymnastics certified in Rookie Coaching, Sequential Gymnastics, and First Aide and CPR.  Our coaches also attend an annual training weekend under the Gymnastics Association of Texas which is standard in our industry, however, we go above the competition by holding weekly trainings for our staff on customer service, coaching, and many other aspects of our industry.  Our master coaches also attend USA Gymnastics National Congress each summer to enhance and increase their coaching skills.

3.

Is there an annual registration fee?

Yes.  We have an annual membership fee that is paid at the time of registration, and every August after that.  This fee covers admistrative costs for setting up your account, as well as gives you discounts and special pricing on our special events such as sleepovers, game nights and other extra events that we offer throughout the year.

4.

Does my child automatically start in a beginner class?

No.  We do a free, no obligation evaluation on each prospective student to determine the right level for your child.  Your child will be evaluated on all four women's olympic events, as well as strength and flexibility.  You will then be given a recommendation on which program, level and class your child should be placed in to have the most success in our programs.

5.

How does my child advance out of each level?

We have a progressive curriculum that was specifically designed by us.  It uses a star chart system that allows your child to see their progress from week to week.  Each child is given a skills chart poster to take home with all the skill for each event in their level.  Each week they are given stars for each skill that is mastered.  Once they have mastered 90% of each of the skills in their level, they are promoted to the next level in our program.  This skill progression system allows you, as a parent to always know where your child is in their level, and keeps you up to date on your child's progress.

6.

How do I know what day my child's class will be held?

You can pick and choose the day your child attends class based on what is best for your schedule, provided there are openings in that class.  We have many days and times available for each level.  Our full, live class schedule is available on the class schedule tab of our website.

7.

How often and how long is each class?

Our are different lengths according to each level of our program.  Details of class lengths for each level can be found on our class schedule tab of our website.  You may take as few as 1 class each week or as many as 4 classes per week depending on your child's personal skill goals and how often they want to participate in our programs.

8.

What types of classes do you offer?

We offer many types of children's activity classes including preschool and school age gymnastics, cheerleading, tumbling and trampoline and dance.  Additionally, we offer adult toning and cardio classes and competitive girls gymnastics.  Details on each of these programs can be found on our programs tab of our website.

9.

What do the students wear?

We do require standard gymnastics attire in our gymnastics classes due to the nature of our sport and the need to retain the safest environment for our students.  We have a great selection of gymnastics attire in our pro shop at our gym, and in our online pro shop tab of our website.  One piece swimsuits or dance leotards do not qualify as gymnasstics attire.  Children are also required to wear their hair tied back and no jewelry is allowed during class.
